YCN Fedrigoni project 2012
Fedrigoni is known for producing very luxurious paper for high end use but have recently introduced a new ‘imaginative colour selection tool’ to attract a wider target audience and encourage footfall in their UK Showroom based in Old Street, London. The brief required us to produce an integrated marketing campaign in order to promote this.
Fedrigoni primarily being Italian and pasta being integral to the Italian culture, we were inspired to design an integrated campaign that involves a paper based Italian Pop-up restaurant where people are encouraged to sample Fedrigoni’s paper in the shape of some classic ingredients of the Italian cuisine.
Had a memorable time completing this collaboration project with Kyra Barmejo, Janice Lin and Veronica Au Yeung. The judging process begins today, fingers crossed ! : )

Prototyping SWI University – Diversion Trilogy card game
I spent my rainy afternoon ‘modelling’ and drawing for a good friend’s final year self initiated project based on hyperreality. He designed a hypothetical university educating pupils on the side effects of overdosing on hyperreality and simulations, it doesn’t sound awfully precarious now but as the technology continues to develop at its rapid rate in advanced societies, the danger will become increasingly apparent.
Anyhow, let’s hope I don’t become a victim and I’m sure there are plenty other pressing issues that I should be equally as worried about … global warming would be a good start ha.

27 April
Easter has been over for a while now.
This Easter must have been one of the most productive Easters for some time, I interned at two companies (finally).
The first one was for one day only at Landfill Editions. I worked as quality control over this artwork (above) which we were preparing for the Pick Me Up graphic fair. I absolutely loved the studio, the music put me in a efficient working mood and screen printing presses makes every designer happy !
The second one was at Dorling Kindersley/ Penguin Books - both owned by conglomerate publishers Pearson’s. The DK office is situated on the ninth floor of my favourite building (the one with the clock) on the Strand, London.
I made book dummies for this year’s London Book Fair, sadly I can’t post any of the photos of the books.
I never really know exactly what to say other than I love design,
English tea accompanied by excessive amounts of rich tea biscuits
and sunny days with the smell of freshly cut grass ...
and of course, nice to meet you : )
